LOCAL FAVORITES

• Food & Drink: The village of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac is just a short stroll away, with local restaurants and cafés serving Périgord specialities including foie gras and duck confit. The famous Sarlat market, about 20km away, runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays and is the perfect spot to pick up regional produce, cheeses and truffles.
• Outdoor Activities: The Vézère river and nearby lakes offer excellent canoeing, kayaking and swimming in summer. The surrounding hills are ideal for hiking, and the area is also known for tree-climbing courses (accrobranche) and the Terra Aventura giant treasure hunt. Caving (spéléologie) tours are popular in the surrounding limestone landscape.
• Places to Visit: Les Eyzies-de-Tayac is the world capital of prehistory — the UNESCO-listed caves of Lascaux (30 min), Combarelles and Font de Gaume are unmissable. The National Museum of Prehistory is in the village itself. Further afield, the medieval town of Rocamadour is about 70km away, and the spectacular Gouffre de Padirac underground river is around 80km away.

Fees Upon Arrival

• A refundable security deposit of €300 per accommodation is required upon arrival by credit card pre-authorisation, and will be released after departure provided there is no damage, additional cleaning, or missing items.
