LOCAL FAVORITES

• Food & Drink: Super-Besse's village centre, a short walk from the residence, holds a range of shops, bakeries and restaurants for everyday essentials and evenings out. Look out for Auvergne specialties such as truffade and aligot, both built around the region's Cantal and Saint-Nectaire cheeses. Farm shops in the surrounding villages sell these cheeses direct, along with local charcuterie and honey.
• Outdoor Activities: The resort sits inside the Massif du Sancy, the highest range of the Massif Central, with alpine and cross-country skiing in winter and hiking across volcanic scenery in summer. The Puy de Sancy, at 1,885 m the highest point in the Massif Central, is reachable by cable car and a short climb, with sweeping views over the Auvergne volcanoes. In summer, the area also draws mountain bikers and via ferrata enthusiasts.
• Places to Visit: The volcanic crater lake Lac Pavin is a short drive away, one of the most photographed natural sites in the Auvergne. Vulcania, an interactive volcano-themed park, sits around 30 km from the residence and makes for a full day out. The thermal spa towns of La Bourboule and Mont-Dore, both known for their 19th-century bathhouses, are also within easy reach.

Fees Upon Arrival

• A refundable security deposit of €250 per accommodation is required and will be returned after inspection, provided there is no damage, additional cleaning or missing items.
• In compliance with local regulations, a daily tourist tax may be applicable during your stay. The rate is subject to change. For precise information based on your dates of stay, please consult the local municipality.
