Get close to Banff's unique wildlife on this thrilling 3 hour trip. Explore the Bow Valley's rustic terrain and grassy meadows, and gaze upon the sky-piercing mountaintops, alpine forests and jagged rock formations. Discover Banff National Park's birthplace, the Cave and Basin, to see bubbling sulphur waters and remarkable rock caverns. Spot beaver, elk, moose and mountain goats along the Sundance Canyon Trail. Ride around the Windy Knoll, and climb Sulphur Mountain for some unforgettable views!

What you can expect

Please arrive at Warner Stables 30 mins prior to tour departure. A helmet is mandatory on this ride.

Majestic landscapes await you on the Bow Valley Loop ride. This ride offers the greatest variety of scenery; it travels through the Cave & Basin area and along the Sundance Canyon Trail to a thick, lush forest. You'll spend approximately 45 minutes riding through the tranquility of the woods, where we often spot wildlife. Continue your ride around the Windy Knoll as you climb Sulphur Mountain for spectacular views of the Bow Valley. Follow the Bow River back to Warner Stables.

Driving directions

  • From the Trans Canada Highway drive along Banff Avenue to Downtown. Continue south along Banff Avenue to the Bow River Bridge, and drive across. As soon as you cross the bridge, turn right onto Cave Avenue and drive for 700ms, next turn right onto Sundance Road. The Warner Stables is the big red stables at the end of Sundance Road. There is plenty of free parking at the site.
