MOUNTAIN COMFORT FOR EXPLORERS

Play hard in the rugged wilderness, and then relax in mountain comfort.
The luxurious suites at the Nita Lake Lodge are filled with posh amenities like basalt-rock fireplaces and balconies with gorgeous views. Stretch out on the king-sized bed or soak up the lake, forest or mountain views while sipping a glass of British Columbia wine.
The décor here is elegant and understated, emphasizing the contrast between dark-wood trim and clean-white linens. Plenty of natural fabrics, plush rugs and cozy blankets keep you warm and comfortable even in the depths of winter. There’s ample room to move, with soaring ceilings and exposed beams – yet the vibe is intimate and comforting.
Mod cons are certainly not lacking: each suite is equipped with a 40-inch LCD television, iPod docking station and kitchenette.
The bathrooms have a spa-like feel, with muted colours and atmospheric lighting. Glass-enclosed rain showers and deep soaker tubs make this space really worth lingering in.
Larger private villas and areas for entertaining are available at the resort, offering plenty of room for families or groups. If you stay at the Rainforest Suite, you can ask one of the chefs to prepare a meal right within your suite.

AMENITIES THAT MESH WITH THE WILDERNESS

Pamper your body and taste-buds, while you rest your city-worn eyes on the craggy silhouettes of mountain peaks. The facilities at Nita Lake Lodge are inspired by nature, offering a true escape within the Canadian wilderness.
Soak up the sun on the patio or jump in the plunge pool surrounded by green conifers. Breathe deep and align your chakras at a yoga session, or get your blood pumping with a workout on the modern equipment at the fitness centre. Nourish yourself with fresh-pressed juice or homemade treats at Fix Café, or sigh in satisfaction as you sink into the outdoor hot tub or enter the eucalyptus steam room.
The Aura Restaurant at Nita Lake Lodge is a destination in itself, offering sophisticated bistro cuisine made from local ingredients by Chef Paul Moran – a rising culinary star who comes to Whistler after working at the Michelin-starred Pujol in Mexico City. Moran tantalizes patrons with his vegetable-forward recipes that use fresh produce from the Pemberton Valley.
Try the three-course menu and get a taste of the sumptuous ricotta gnocchi made with black trumpet mushrooms, amaretto, sage, almond butter, and dried black olive. Or sample the sticky-and-savoury cooked beef ribs with Oka-cheese mashed potatoes. It’s the perfect meal to warm your belly after a chilly day on the slopes.
Afterwards, settle in at the Cure Lounge and relive the excitement of your mountain explorations over a creative cocktail or a glass of local wine. In the winter, gather around the giant fireplace to warm up while swapping ski stories; in the summer, lounge on the lakeside patio for drinks beneath the sun.

UNWIND BY THE LAKE OR VENTURE INTO TOWN

The relaxing Nita Lake Lodge feels miles away from anywhere. But you don’t have to wander far to experience something incredible.
