What to expect

When you walk into the huge lobby of the Caribou Lodge, you’ll be greeted by an expansive stone-faced wood burning fireplace amidst beautiful wooden fixtures that truly give the Lodge a sense of the rustic Rockies. During Christmas season, tasteful red and green wreaths dawn the lovely fixtures, offering a wonderful home away from home atmosphere!
 

In front of the lobby fireplace, the soft laughter of guests fills the air as they lounge on the chairs and sofas, waiting for the rest of their company before securing a table at the premium steakhouse, The Keg, also conveniently located inside the lobby. At The Keg, you can keep everything on one tab and charge meals right to your room!
 

Once you’ve checked in, retreat to your cozy mountain-style room and explore all the resort has to offer. Most rooms include a lovely view of the mountains and of Banff Avenue. The lodge offers a handful of loft jacuzzi suites for those who really want to experience the lap of luxury. During Christmas, the loft suites will each have their own Christmas trees, so even though you’re not back home, you’ll still get to experience the warm, festive feeling of the season!

If you’re on vacation to celebrate, this is an excellent place to stay as there are two party rooms/business centres at your disposal. Take your coworkers on a well-deserved retreat or bring your loved ones together for a birthday or anniversary! If you decide to forego a big party for a more intimate celebration, you won’t be forgotten by the staff. If you tell them you’re celebrating, they’ll provide a complimentary in-room bottle of wine to make sure that your accomplishment or life event is properly acknowledged.
 
Getting Around
When it’s time to get out and see all that Banff has to offer, the Lodge gives you a number of choices for how to travel. If walking isn’t your cup of tea, rent a car from Enterprise – located in the lodge right next to reception – and see the National Park at your own pace. If you don’t feel like driving, take advantage of your free shuttle pass, which gives you access to some of Banff’s most iconic attractions by bus. If you prefer wandering by foot, you’ll reach downtown Banff after a short stroll from the lodge, passing many unique buildings and offering plenty of gorgeous scenery along the way.
 

The Banff Caribou Lodge takes such good care of its guests that should you choose, you would never have to step foot out of the lodge at all! You could spend your entire holiday dining at the on-site restaurant, lounging in the sauna or treating yourself to massages, working out in the fitness room, mingling in the lobby lounge, or chatting with the friendly staff. But if you do want to leave (and we assume you will!), they have your travel covered with Enterprise Rent-A-Car on-site, and providing you with a free Roam shuttle pass.
