THE VILLAGE IDIOT
Prepare yourself, because The Village Idiot is more than just a great pub, it is the pub to visit when in Revelstoke. It has become the symbol of the town and its culture, and a visit to Revelstoke is not complete without having at least one pint here. However, keep in mind that The Village Idiot has at minimum an average wait of 30 minutes on any given night, and so to avoid a lengthy line, arrive before 5pm. No reservations are taken.
Previous guests will tell you that everything about The Village Idiot totally embodies mountain culture, from its bar stools made from skis, to its classic pub-style food and general laid back attitude. While you could eat anything from the menu and enjoy it, their delicious homemade pizzas are in particular demand.. In addition, if the line up ever gets too long, another great local joint, Chubby Funsters, is owned by the same company and serves up similar comfort-style food in a great atmosphere.
It’s also important to note that the selection of craft beer at The Village Idiot is spot on, including some local Revelstoke favourites.

UPSCALE DINING

WOOLSEY CREEK BISTRO
Woolsey Creek Bistro is a wonderful Revelstoke gem, combining exquisite gourmet meals with organic, local ingredients.
The bistro adheres to a “farm-to-table” approach by using locally-sourced, quality ingredients. The homemade Bison Ravioli comes highly recommended, as does the vegan-friendly Cauliflower Steak, which comes accompanied by cashew sauce and organic quinoa. The food at Woolsey Creek Bistro is the standard you’d expect from any classic fine dining restaurant, but the atmosphere is more cozy and welcoming than elegant. Wood booths with colourful cushions and curtains create a warm, casual ambiance, making this Revelstoke classic an easy choice for excellent eats in a relaxed environment.
Reservations are recommended.

ROCKFORD WOK|BAR|GRILL
Rockford Wok|Bar|Grill is the place to eat and catch up with friends while skiing and riding at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Located at the base of the ski resort, floor-to-ceiling windows offer fabulous mountain and ski hill views.
The Rockford offers traditional dishes like steak, salmon and burgers with unique twists. However, it’s their Asian-inspired dishes that really make our mouths water. We love the Kung Pao Prawns, Chicken Viet Sub, Mongolian Beef Noodles and Night Market Fried Rice. What it really comes down to is that everything on the menu here is worth a try!
The Leavetown spin: try their 5-spice wings with a pint of beer after a day on the mountains. It surely the perfect way to conclude a great ski session session!

LA BAGUETTE
La Baguette is a convenient local franchise where visitors can find a great cup of coffee while in Revelstoke! The café uses Vancouver-based Parallel 49 coffee beans and fresh, soft bakery-style bread to create their renowned sandwiches. La Baguette has locations at the base of Revy’s ski hill, on the top of Revy’s ski hill, and in downtown Revelstoke. They also have a nice little grocery store so visitors and locals can buy more artisan-style products. Warm up before or after your trip down the mountain with fabulous coffee and delicious comfort food. Enjoy their famous Montreal smoked meat bagel along with a cup of soup.
A Leavetown insider tip: find the cheese with the green label. This indicates cheese that’s about to expire in traditional grocery store terms, however, we all know cheese just gets better with age! To adhere to food policies these perfectly fine cheeses have their prices dramatically reduced… meaning you can get luxurious brie cheeses for next to nothing!
