Whistler’s famed Cornucopia Festival is back for it’s 20th year this November, and the delicious line-up promises to be their biggest and best celebration of food and drink yet!
Foodies rejoice! Whistler’s famous Cornucopia Food and Drink Festival is back, and this year it’s taking place November 10th-20th. The event draws in crowds from all over the world each year, who come for the jam packed schedule of culinary fun and endless sampling opportunities!
Cornucopia showcases over 150 events, so guests can enjoy a fine mix of industry and educational workshops activities and food and wine tastings – all set inside a stunning alpine village. Guests can expect to see a heavy focus on food sustainability and the health and wellness at this year’s event, through featured cooking workshops, yoga and seminars.
A highlight of this year’s festival will be husband-and-wife culinary duo, Benito Molina and Solange Muris, who own the world-famous Latin American restaurant Manzanilla. The celebrated Mexican chefs will be travelling to Canada for the first time to headline Cornucopia, and will cook alongside James Walt, executive chef for the famous Whistler restaurant Araxi Restaurant and Oyster Bar. Guests in attendance will have a unique chance to taste Araxi’s local farm-to-table food, infused with Muris and Molina’s Baja twists with their arsenal of native Ensenada ingredients. Furthermore, Araxi Wine Director and 2013 Sommelier of the Year Samantha Rahn will pair each dish with award-winning BC wine. No need to do any of the work – it’s already done for you!
